01 / Dynamic financing – CapEx becomes OpEx

You as a machine builder, have just developed a new machine. You want to push it as quickly into the market as possible. But you have to think of a new path since the new technology is more expensive and your customers have their cash flow in mind. A first mover in the finance industry has a great new solution. With dynamic financing users can pay-per-use instead of a fixed monthly rate.

02/ Individual contract setup

How is that possible? Based on the IoT data of the machine, finance institutes can offer an individual contract aligned with the machine and usage behavior. The calculation includes parameters like maintenance, runtime, piece count, and degree of wear. By matching this IoT data with the planned usage of the machine the contract is automatically generated.

03/ Dynamic insurance

In combination, an insurance company can generate a usage-based insurance bundle. With the historical data of the machine that is delivered by the usage monitoring of similar machines and the pay-per-use contract data, the risks can be easily calculated. This results in a fully transparent individual financing rate and bonus adjustment.

04/ Machine status reporting

Once the contract is up and running, you can continuously monitor and assess the machine’s status. The IoT data from machines are easily accessible in the cloud, avoiding on-site visits or exhausting email exchanges. Data is then transformed into contract-relevant KPIs. To top it, information can be integrated into other systems seamlessly through our APIs.

05/ Damage reporting

But what happens when the machine stops? Since everyone benefits if the piece count increases, damages should be solved as quickly as possible. Smart Claim Management makes damage reporting a one-click activity. All required data about the contract, the machine, and the issue will be provided to get back on track as soon as possible.

06/ After sales & residual value

For sure you as a machine builder can quickly deliver the needed reparations during the runtime and improve your product by reviewing damage reports. Finally, the residual value of a machine can be specifically estimated to achieve an ideal price for after-sales as a used machine. The basis of this calculation is again the IoT data of the machine.
